Expatriarch expatriates from the patriarchy, abandoning a macho society and envisioning what comes beyond – with a killer soundtrack to for the long road trip ahead.

The “transnational queer underground” emerged as a reference to the “international pop underground”, a convention initiated by Calvin Johnston (K Records/Portland/USA) in 1991 to take a stand against the sell-out of the music industry and also laid the foundation for the riot grrrl movement. In 2009 I was doing a lot of research on issues related to queer music for an article I was writing at that time and thought that the information I collected might be useful to some other people as well.

Ladyfest Graz 2012 will take place on Mai 18 - 20 2012 in Graz at Theater am Ortweinplatz (concerts) and Spektral (workshops, film program)

Jede_r kann bei uns sein wie sie_er sich fühlt. Ob Queer, Lady, Trans, Lesbe, Hete oder Bi... Fühlt euch wohl und willkommen!

Zum zweiten Mal organisiert unser Plenum das Ladyfest Graz in der steirischen Landeshauptstadt. In unseren Workshops sollt ihr euch ausleben und eure Kreativität erproben können. Wir bieten Workshops speziell für Frauen und Transgender. Euch wird ein Raum geboten, in dem ihr ihr selbst sein könnt.

NOC WALPURGII FESTIVAL 2012 04.2012 Berlin, Køpi, Köpenicker Str. 137

Die Noc Walpurgii findet seit 1996 in Warschau statt. Dieses Jahr wird es das Festival das erste Mal in Berlin geben.

Unser Ziel ist es, Sexismus und Homophobie eine Absage zu erteilen

und unabhängige DIY-Kultur zu stärken!

MFLA is a loose collective and a spazio radiofonico which gets broadcasted by the free Radio Onda Rossa 87,9 (Rome) since 1995 every Tuesday from 17:00 to 23:00; the programm consists of various feminist and lesbian radio shows produced by different people and groups within the collective; MFLA wants to be a political space where feminist and lesbian/queer ideas are discussed and disseminated; the programm also has a strong emphasis on anti-racism/anti-fascism/migration and postcolonial theory besides topics ranging from arts/ (popular) culture / music/ literature by women and lesbians to feminist news, feminist ideas, theory and activism, lgbtiq, violence etc.
