Call: Davis Feminist Film Festival 2013 (Deadline: Dec 15, 2012)

The Consortium for Women and Research is now accepting submissions for the 2013 Davis Feminist Film Festival!

The Davis Feminist Film Festival welcomes films from professionals, students, and community members locally, nationally, and internationally. People underrepresented in the media field are especially encouraged to submit a film for consideration.

The Davis Feminist Film Festival is a short film festival. Films must be shorter than 35 minutes in length.

Films submitted to the festival for consideration must meet at least two of the following criteria:

The queer WebComicKollektiv was initiated by German comic artist Anna Heger and since October 2012 publishes every month a new issue based on a specific theme (Oct 2012: Langsamkeit/slowness, Nov 2012: Theory) and linking together contributions by various comic artists. There is a permanent open call for contributions and the collective wants to promote German speaking queer and alternative Comic writing.

Its goal was from the beginning to generate debate and awareness about women's position in Denmark and to work as a link between the members of the Danish Women's Society and an interested public.
