outside the box - Zeitschrift für feministische Gesellschaftskritik (Magazine)

type=digital_archives

Statement:
outside the box is a magazine that operates a feminist critique of society. It arose from the observation that incorporated feminist theory and practice did not arise not enough in discussions of an emancipatory Left. Too often they remain a marginal issue.

A feminist critique of the situation today is required to counteract the apologists of the status quo, contributing to the official gender policies, such as gender mainstreaming programs. That the emancipation of women must therefore be included in the human emancipation are thought to its conclusion.

The concept of feminism is complex. It is not a concept that can be formulated as a critique stencil applied to problems - too many contradictions in the theoretical and practical terms are not yet exhaustively discussed. Not infrequently, different feminist positions are diametrically opposed, be it in the reflection of the '68 movement, in the current headscarf debate or philosophical questions such as the female species by Subjektwerdung.

The editors wish to continue the discussion about these issues and obtain an emancipatory position. These findings should be included about the intersectionality of various discrimination - the overlap with anti-Semitism and racism -: Social relations can criticize feminist does not mean to go blind in one eye by the world. The experience of states in which the man is a debased, enslaved, abandoned, is a contemptible creature, makes the criticism of these states required - in this sense, our magazine will look to broaden their knowledge of social-sexist experience, not to narrow it .

outside the box is not a feminist division product, but creates links and content, and therefore exerts a comprehensive formal emancipatory critique.

outside the box – Selbstverständnis
