"Set up in August '78, monthly paper. Circulation 250-500. Distribution: around pubs, door to door on estates, and in the local wholefood shop. Self financing n/l, costs: ₤8 an issue. 5 women work on the N/L, and the collective is open, and women are welcome to their monthly meetings. Aimed at any woman, and lets women know what's going on. Material from the collective plus other women, and they sometimes reprint an article. Editorial policy: they try to dissuade people from writing racist, sexist or inaccurate pieces, and would explain to the writers why they are not using such material if submitted. They do accept acceptable entries from men. They want to make the WLM and WLM ideas more widely available to 'ordinary' women."
